Dr. Matthews has a warm and welcoming style as well as great respect for diversity in all its forms. He believes therapy is a collaborative process and not only listens in a nonjudgmental fashion, but wants to hear what clients have to say. He doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, but uses methodologies that are most appropriate for the client. Should Dr. Matthews not be the best person to help a particular client, Dr. Matthews will gladly facilitate a referral to another provider. And Dr. Matthews will collaborate with providers such as psychiatrists or primary care physicians as well when appropriate.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Matthews enjoys being with family and friends, spending time in the outdoors, traveling to new places, and is an avid runner and sports fan. He grew up skateboarding and snowboarding and spent time volunteering to build the Downingtown Skatepark as well.
